Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a part-time Medical-Surgical RN for the S1400 unit. You will manage a diverse medical patient population with strong emphasis on assessment and communication.

The role requires an active Massachusetts RN license, and an ADN with BSN preferred. CPR certification is mandatory. Compensation includes a competitive base pay with comprehensive benefits and sign-on opportunities.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• S1400 is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit that provides care to medical patients that may or may not require telemetry monitoring. This unit cares for a wide variety of medical issues, includingAlzheimer’s/dementia,psych, sepsis or other advanced infections, fall/syncope, palliative/ hospice, stroke, COVID-19, cardiac diagnosis: atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, etc.
• Our unit population consists of patients ages 20 to geriatrics. In addition to inpatient status, the staff also monitors and cares for patients who have been placed in an observation or outpatient extended stay status.

SCHEDULE:

• Part-Time, Days (7a-730p)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Baystate Medical Center - Springfield, MA

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.
