UChicago Medicine AdventHealth seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Night shift at Hinsdale, IL. The nurse will perform comprehensive assessments, create and adjust individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families to promote health and safety.

Schedule is 36 hours per week, nights 6:45pm–7:15am, with rotating weekends and holidays. Starting pay is $37.50/hour, with potential salary increases up to 20% through the Clinical Ladder Program based on

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced certifications listed as preferred indicate specialty areas (CCNS, NEONATAL MED, PEARS, OB/GYN RDMS, etc.).
• Minimum 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Up to a $20,000 sign on bonus for Eligible Applicants

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
