Job Duties:

The RN Medical Staff Quality Coordinator assists in the design, implementation, operation and evaluation of the organization’s Medical Staff Peer Review Program to assure that productive physician and advance practitioner quality performance evaluations, peer review processes, and related activities are in place and functioning. Ensures coordination of the medical staff peer review program to maintain a consistent, rigorous and legally protected peer review process in full compliance with accreditation standards.

This opportunity is work from home in the state of Pennsylvania , salaried, and full time. Must be able to comfortably commute to offices at a central or NE Pennsylvania system location for meetings.

At least five (5) years of RN work experience is required. Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards and peer review programs is helpful. E xperience in data analysis and statistical processes, experience in providing education, as well as the ability to design and develop performance measures, particularly as relates to medical staff is helpful.

  • Assists with the Medical Staff Quality Program Manager in all aspects of the physician and advance practitioner quality and peer review program including but not limited to case review, pre and post committee preparation, analysis of data, and coordination of outside peer review.
  • Coordinates, reviews, interprets, and assists in achieving compliance of all regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with and maintains open communication with all clinical departments in the implementation of responsibilities.
  • Facilitates transfer, receipt, and maintenance of confidential peer review documentation and adheres to Peer Review Confidentiality Standards.
  • Supports the development of medical staff clinical indicators of performance.
  • Maintains documentation of peer review activities in designated confidential database systems, oversees the maintenance of quality data, and facilitates the production of reports.
  • Assists and supports medical staff education regarding quality.

Education:

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years-Nursing (Required)

Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
