Job summary

Northwestern Medicine’s CDH 4C Medical Intermediate Unit is seeking a registered nurse for the FT night shift, 7p–7:30a with rotating weekends. The 26-bed unit handles complex medical/surgical patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and timely interventions.

Required qualifications include a BSN, IL RN license, and BLS; ADN with commitment to BSN within three years is acceptable. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential.

• • 26 bed fast paced, mixed acuity Intermediate Medical Surgical Unit
  • Inpatient unit that provides care for patients with complex medical conditions, post-operative needs, or clinical instability requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, frequent assessments, and timely interventions.

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with others
• Strong analytic abilities

*Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.

Preferred:

• Experience in Medical Stepdown
• Additional Preferences for the Emergency Room and the Pediatric Emergency Room
• Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)
• Emergency Communications Registered Nurse
• Certified Pediatric Nurse
• Certified Emergency Nurse
