Job summary

AdventHealth in Burleson, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, monitor responses, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure safe, coordinated care.

The role emphasizes leadership, documentation in EMR systems (Cerner preferred), high-quality patient education, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

RN with Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
BLS/CPR certification required.
Experience in critical care preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
