Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking aRegistered Nurse to render highly professional nursing care to assigned patients from 7A to 7P. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, supporting the hospital’s mission and values.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a current BLS certification, and possess or be eligible for Texas nursing licensure, with at least six months RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment through effective communication, teamwork and collaboration.
• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
• Communicates with the team, patients and family to convey information clearly and ensure understanding.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provides safe, accurate and timely medication and IV administration.
• Shows initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Applies the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
