Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 12x3 night shift (7pm-7am) to provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold a Texas RN license or be eligible, and maintain current BLS certification. Prior RN experience of 12 months is preferred to support our patients across the hospital services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Texas nursing license in good standing or eligibility.
• 12 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
• Assumes nursing components of patient care for the patient/family/significant others.
• Communicates with team, coworkers, patients and families and documents information clearly.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff and the facility.
• Ensures accurate and timely written documentation of patient information.
• Administers medications and IV therapies safely and timely.
• Takes responsibility for professional development and best practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality care throughout the patient episode.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• Work experience: 12 months of RN experience
