Job Overview

Registered Nurse - Med Surg Urology — Part Time Day Shift - TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital - $2.5k Sign-On Bonus!

Location: 375 Dixmyth Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45220

Work Schedule
  • Part Time Days- (48 hours bi-weekly)
  • 7:00am - 7:30pm
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation
  • Holiday rotation

Unit/Patient Population: 14AB is a medical unit with 22 beds. Our patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients with varied medical diagnoses including complications from diabetes, pneumonia, cellulitis, encephalopathy, and remote telemetry. We also care for renal and urology surgery patients including those who have had a nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and those with continuous bladder irrigation (CBI). Any patients admitted to the hospital who require peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments have PD care managed by a trained 14AB nurse. This unit supports the growth and learning of new grads. 14AB provides the opportunity to master time management, and a variety of skills such as suprapubic catheter exchange, continuous bladder irrigation, vascath removal and peritoneal dialysis.

Job Requirements
  • Associate\'s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle

  • RNs with more than 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time acute care experience
  • Preferred certification in specialty
Job Responsibilities
