Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role:

PMC Med Staff is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for a fast-paced Med/Surg unit. As part of a collaborative healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well‑being. You’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while working closely with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care & Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments on admission, identifying physical, psychological, and social needs. Develop and update individualized care plans based on assessments, and ensure timely, compassionate care.
• Care Plan Implementation: Execute and document interventions per care plans, reassessing and adjusting the plan as needed based on patient responses and progress.
• Patient Education & Advocacy: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and self‑care practices. Advocate for patients' needs and provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to both patients and families.
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and case management to ensure coordinated care. Facilitate communication between healthcare providers to address concerns and ensure optimal care delivery.
• Emergency Care: Recognize changes in patient conditions and intervene appropriately. Respond swiftly to emergencies, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Quality & Safety: Adhere to infection control standards, medication safety protocols, and other quality guidelines to maintain a safe environment. Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Discharge Planning: Assist in discharge planning by identifying patient needs, collaborating with case management, and ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Experience: Previous Med/Surg experience preferred, but new graduates with a passion for patient care are encouraged to apply.
• Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to think critically in high-pressure situations, making decisions based on evidence and patient needs.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams effectively.
