Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, and coordinate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires an Associate's or higher in Nursing, Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS as appropriate, and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN required and licensed in Florida.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred/required.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent in English (read, verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize care.
• Document patient information and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Evaluate effectiveness of plans and adjust to improve outcomes.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
