Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while coordinating with physicians, patients, and families to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires an associate degree in nursing, Maryland RN licensure, and current CPR; advanced certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required on hire for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and formulate nursing diagnoses.
• Plan, write, and update nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and IV therapies; monitor responses.
• Coordinate care with patient, family and health team members.
• Document patient status and care plans accurately.
• Communicate patient status to physicians and team; teach patients and families.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
• Support RN team leadership and mentoring as able.
