Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the Med/Surg unit, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

This full-time, temporary role requires a state RN license, BLS, ACLS certification on hire, and experience in acute care or ventilator management; BSN preferred. Night shift, join an award-winning team committed to quality and community.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate preferred; 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Med/Surg Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient's condition including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results and symptoms.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
