Job summary

Alliance Staffing Solutions seeks an experienced RN – Med/Surg Pediatrics to deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute-care hospital setting in Dayton, OH.

The role requires at least 2 years of acute pediatric nursing and 1 year of Epic EMR experience, with BLS; PALS is preferred or required per facility standards. You will collaborate with the healthcare team and support families throughout care and discharge.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of pediatric patients and monitor changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, treatments, and other therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, intake/output, and other clinical indicators.
• Recognize and promptly respond to changes in a pediatric patient's condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, pediatric specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide age-appropriate education and emotional support to pediatric patients and their families.
• Assist with procedures and diagnostic testing as needed.
• Maintain infection-control, patient-safety, and medication-safety standards.
• Participate in patient discharge planning and provide families with appropriate discharge instructions.
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

Position Overview

Alliance Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Pediatrics to provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute-care hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent acute pediatric nursing experience and 1 year of Epic EMR experience. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
