Job summary

Henry Ford Health, located at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology/Med Surg unit. The role offers 3 twelve-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am), alternating weekends and rotating holidays, with a $7,500 sign-on bonus.

You will lead patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and ensure high-quality outcomes for patients and families. This position requires BSN where possible, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent communication with patients,

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

Job Description

About the Department

The Oncology Unit is a 30-bed unit, with 24 private rooms, and maintains a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. While oncology is the primary specialty, the unit also cares for patients undergoing bariatric, gynecological, and colorectal surgery. After six months, nurses have the opportunity to obtain their Chemo Certification, providing an opportunity to further develop their oncology knowledge and skills.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
