Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Southfield, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse on the Med Surg Oncology unit to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process, while communicating clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

The unit features a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, and after six months you can pursue Chemo Certification to deepen oncology knowledge. BSN preferred and Michigan licensure are required.

Qualifications

Job Description

About the Department

The Oncology Unit is a 30-bed unit, with 24 private rooms, and maintains a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. While oncology is the primary specialty, the unit also cares for patients undergoing bariatric, gynecological, and colorectal surgery. After six months, nurses have the opportunity to obtain their Chemo Certification, providing an opportunity to further develop their oncology knowledge and skills.

Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team.

SCHEDULE: (3) - 12 Hour Shifts, 7pm - 730am, every other weekend and rotating holidays

SIGN ON BONUS:$7500.00

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE REQUIRED
