Bristol Health is seeking a dedicated RN to join our med/surg telemetry team. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care, monitor telemetry, administer medications, and work within a multidisciplinary team to implement patient-centered care plans.

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor in Nursing is preferred.
• Current CT RN License in good standing is required.
• BLS is required.
• State/Federal Licensure or Certification requirements: CT RN license is required.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation and communication of patient condition.
• Carrying out physician orders and administering prescribed medications.
• Wound care and ongoing vital signs monitoring.
• Record and communicate patient condition using electronic documentation.
• Orient and mentor new team members and support a multidisciplinary care plan.

Our nurses collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and carry out a patient centered plan of care. This position involves treating a diverse patient population with a variety of medical conditions and post surgical care needs. The medical surgical RN provides direct nursing care in accordance with Bristol Health's established policies, procedures, and evidence based protocols. Tasks and responsibilities include: telemetry monitoring and interpretation, carrying out physician orders, administering prescribed medication, wound care, vital sign monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition utilizing computerized documentation and information technology tools, orienting and mentoring new team members, following universal precautions utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment.Schedule: 36 hours / week, Days, EOWBenefits include: Tuition reimbursement, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision package, 403B plan, Nursing clinical ladder, paid time off plan, employee retail pharmacy on site.Educational / Minimum Requirements:Associate in Nursing required, Bachelor in Nursing PreferredCurrent CT RN License in good standing, requiredOne year of clinical nursing experience in acute or subacute, requiredState/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:Current State of Connecticut licensure as a Registered Nurse.
