Job summary

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, grounded in evidence-based practice.

Full-time or .9 FTE with varied shifts, potential to float within the north division. Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license and current BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by department. Generous benefits and PTO from day one.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Certification in specialty is desirable.
• Minimum of three years of RN practice in a comparable setting is preferred.
• Active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN license.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care based on evidence-based practice.
• Improve nursing care quality by collecting and analyzing data.
• Deliver care within the Medical/Surgical team and participate in patient care coordination.

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI is seeking a REGISTERED NURSE to join our Medical/Surgical team!

The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

HOURS: Full-Time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period. Varied shifts, every other weekend/holiday, may be required to float to other north division hospitals.

Experience/Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Certification in specialty desired.
• Ideally, there is a minimum of three years practicing as an RN in comparative setting.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN nursing license.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy).
• Current Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification may be required based on primary department.

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk provides primary and specialty services to Tomahawk and rural Lincoln County through a 25-bed critical access hospital.
