Job summary

Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital in Tomahawk, WI is hiring a Registered Nurse for the ER. This full-time or 0.9 FTE role includes 12-hour day/night rotations, every third weekend, and holiday rotation. A sign-on bonus is eligible and candidates must hold a Wisconsin RN license.

The RN will provide evidence-based nursing care, participate in data collection and quality improvement, and maintain required certifications and CEUs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices.
• Maintains education and specialty certifications.
• Active Wisconsin RN license.
• Current BLS certification or within 90 days of hire.
• Annual CEUs/continuing education.

Full-time or .9 FTE, 72 hours every pay period
8/12-hour day/night rotation, every third weekend, holiday rotation

The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes the responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.

Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Maintains education and specialty certification requirements specific to the department scope of service.
• Previous experience beneficial.
• Possesses an active Wisconsin RN nursing license.
• Maintains specialty certification as per department scope of service.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. • Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
