Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our award-winning team delivering safe, compassionate patient care on the Medical/Surgical unit.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and families, and mentor junior staff while upholding our standards.

Current RN license in the state, BLS and ACLS are preferred; acute care and ventilator management experience are valued; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred; Ventilator management experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the nursing process.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patients clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
