ALLIANCE STAFFING SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in MED/SURG, PACU, ED/ER and ICU care to join our healthcare team in Milton, IL. You will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, performing assessments, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team in a fast-paced environment.

Must have 2 years of applicable specialty experience within the last 5 years and EPIC experience.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration in the relevant state.
• 2 years of Medical-Surgical/PACU/ED/ICU experience in last 5 years.
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, vital signs, histories to inform care plans.
• Administer medications and IV infusions per protocol.
• Document in EMR systems (Epic/Cerner/Athenahealth/eClinicalWorks) ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Manage procedures including suturing, catheterization, and ventilator support.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for discharge planning.
• Conduct triage in urgent care or ER settings and provide age-specific care.
• Deliver specialized care across pediatrics, geriatrics, memory care, hospice.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical (MED/SURG), PACU, ED/ER, and ICU care to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories to inform individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management for acute and chronic conditions.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner to document patient information meticulously, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage complex medical procedures including suturing, catheterization, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining aseptic techniques.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care involving physicians, therapists, and case managers to facilitate seamless discharge planning and long-term care strategies.
• Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency settings, prioritizing patient needs efficiently and effectively.
• Provide specialized care for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine services.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in medical-surgical nursing with familiarity in hospital medicine or ICU settings; Level I or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; strong medical documentation skills.
• Knowledge of advanced nursing procedures including ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), laboratory specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography or radiology imaging.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease; familiarity with memory care practices is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to perform complex patient assessments and acute pain management; experience in trauma medicine or emergency response procedures is advantageous.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and other relevant certifications required for safe practice in high-acuity environments.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
