Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical in the Washington, DC area to provide comprehensive nursing care across diverse patient populations. Shifts include day, night, and mid shifts, with full-time and per diem options.

Requirements include ADN or higher, active RN license, 1 year Med-Surg experience, BLS, and EMR proficiency. Responsibilities cover medication administration, vital signs, planning, education, and discharge coordination.

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1 year nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical or similar setting
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with both acute and chronic medical conditions
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and implement treatment plans as directed by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and to facilitate discharge planning
• Educate patients and their families on chronic and acute disease management, medical conditions, and post-discharge care
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in compliance with hospital and departmental policies
