Job summary

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a community hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania delivering medical, surgical, and emergency care. The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process, provides direct care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit, and guides patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care.

Applicants should hold an active RN license with BLS, ACLS within 30 days of hire (preferred), and have Acute Care/ventilator management experience;

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current (preferred).
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
• Guide patient and family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient�s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
