Job summary

Mercy Marian Center in Springfield, MO, seeks an RN to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to deliver 24/7 mental health support in a short-term inpatient setting.

The position requires graduation from a state-approved nursing program, active RN licensure in the state, and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification. Rotational days 6:30–19:00, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Must have a current RN license within the hiring state and meet state board requirements.
• Certifications: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Card or complete process within probation period.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintains accountability for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with Mercy Service Standards.

Full-Time: Rotational Shifts

Days - 0630 to 1900

Mercy Marian Center in Springfield, MO, is a short-term acute inpatient psychiatric facility for adults, providing intensive and general mental health care. Patients receive 24/7 nursing support, psychiatric evaluations, and individualized treatment through a collaborative team of psychiatrists, nurses, medical providers, and social workers, along with individual and group therapy.

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a state approved School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a process within their probation period. Other certifications as required by role.
