Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield - Neurology 6C is seeking a full-time rotational Registered Nurse to join a hybrid teaching-floor role. Shifts are 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with responsibilities for both patient care and resident/students teaching when present.

The unit handles head, neck, and spine injuries; growth opportunities include teaching and clinical leadership within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure; meet state requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) or complete within 30 days.
• Certifications may be required: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care for all ages; perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.

Mercy Hospital Springfield - Neurology 6C

Full-Time: Rotational

0630 to 1900

This unit takes care of patients with head, neck and spine injuries. This position would be a hybrid teacher and floor nurse (when no students are present). We are looking for those that love to teach.

Overview

Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
• One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
