Job summary

Brightway Living & Learning, a premier non-profit provider on Long Island, seeks a Registered Nurse for per diem/Full-Time hours to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will act as a medical liaison, manage medications, and maintain medical records while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

The role involves on-site work with flexible scheduling and participation in monthly nursing meetings; OPWDD compliance is emphasized.

Qualifications

• New York State Registered Nurse License required
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations preferred
• Experience with MR/DD population preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in IDT conferences as required.
• Serve as medical liaison for the IDT team; ensure proper medical follow up.
• Develop written plans for each person and modify as necessary.
• Maintain medical records for each individual.
• Attend monthly nursing meetings as required.
• Ensure medications are administered and stored properly.
• Prepare monthly Medication Administration Records.
