Saint Luke's is seeking an experienced operating room nurse for a PRN position in Kansas City, MO. The role requires quick call response within 30 minutes and a patient-centered approach to safety and quality of care.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in the OR, MO RN licensure, and an associate degree. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead in clinical scenarios, and support innovative perioperative processes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of operating room nursing or perioperative experience.
• Registered Nurse in Missouri and active license (NURSYS).
• Associate Degree or higher in nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Circulate multiple specialties in the OR.
• Advocate for patients and ensure safe, effective care.
• Use nursing process independently and with accountability.
• Coordinate care with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
• Identify hospital resources as needed.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced operating room nurse who work well under pressure and embrace the unexpected. We are seeking nursing professionals that are passionate about their practice, adaptable, and eager to learn and drive continuous improvement. We are looking for confident nurses who can be the patient's advocate and speak up when needed.

This position is a PRN position. This position does take call. The call response time is 30 minutes.

Our operating teams have unit-based leadership teams and are supportive and collaborative on one another. We believe in creating teams that are kind, professional and treats each other as they would a patient. This is key to being successful in this position. These teams work with innovative processes and technologies. We continue to expand our robotics programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to circulate multiple specialties in the OR.
• Circulating nurse is the patient advocate and is responsible for safe and effective patient care.
• Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately.
• Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
