Job summary

WorkFit Medical Staffing seeks an RN to join our team in long-term care facilities. This full-time position offers day/evening rotating shifts, with a 26-week contract and 5x8 schedules including every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, care plan development, medication administration, and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will ensure accurate documentation and educate residents and families about care and treatments.

Qualifications

• Current and valid NY State RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in long-term care nursing preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing interventions safely and accurately.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, laboratory results, and overall health status.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Communicate significant findings and changes in condition to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Supervise and collaborate with Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)/LVNs, CNAs, and other care staff.
• Provide direction and support to nursing staff while maintaining appropriate delegation and supervision.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate residents and families regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and ongoing care.
