Job summary

Summit Ridge Skilled Nursing in Douglas, WY is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee nursing care on a daily basis and supervise licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants. Qualifications

• RN license in practicing state
• Current CPR certification
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Directs daily activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants in accordance with regulations and facility policies
• Assesses resident status changes, notifies physicians and families, and documents accordingly
• Transcribes physician orders, administers medications, and monitors for adverse effects
• Performs wound care, colostomy changes, IV administration, and other direct care tasks as assigned
• Promotes teamwork, participates in admissions/discharges, coordinates with interdisciplinary team and participates in QAPI activities
