Job summary

Northern Pines is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the long-term care unit of our skilled nursing facility. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, assessing residents, administering medications, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BSN or associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• MT RN license active.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents and evaluate changes in condition to ensure appropriate interventions and care planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards.
• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state practice), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures.
• Supervise, delegate, and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel in accordance with state nurse practice acts.
• Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated based on resident assessments and interdisciplinary team input.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective resident care.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, assessments, and clinical records in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards.

Education

BSN or Associates from an accredited school of nursing

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license MT

BLS certification from the AHA
