Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents in a Kansas facility and to supervise nursing assistants in day-to-day activities.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and coordinate with other resident services to maintain the overall care plan. The role requires an active RN license, CPR certification, and ability to work outside regular hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license (RN) that is in good standing with the State.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants.
• Ensure compliance with written policies and procedures; plan shifts and activities; report on shift activities.
• Cooperate with other resident services to maintain the resident's care regimen.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as required; review and sign orders.
• Receive physician orders and transcribe them correctly.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Review discharge plans and participate in updates as required.
• Participate in facility surveys and inspections by government agencies.
