Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to function as a caregiver for a specific patient population. The role focuses on expanding knowledge and delivering effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

This position directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers, coordinating patient care and unit activities among nursing staff, physicians and support services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN in progress or willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• Current and valid RN license to work at the location by hire date.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, strong accountability, teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and commitment to high-quality patient care.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team to a variety of patients.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Delegate, validate and evaluate care delivered by other caregivers as appropriate.
• Continue to expand knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes.
