Job summary

Mercy Hospital Perry is seeking an RN for Labor and Delivery to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring patient rights and confidentiality while coordinating with obstetric teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (ADN, Diploma or BSN).
• Hold a current RN license in the hiring state (or compact licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

Required Education

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

License

• Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
