Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit area is seeking an RN - Inpatient Weekend to provide leadership and care on a hospital unit. Weekend shifts are Friday 3:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM, with 20 of 24 weekend shifts in a 12-week schedule and possible additional weekend days based on department needs. All qualifying weekend hours receive a $15/hour premium.

The role requires a Michigan-licensed RN and basic life support certification within specified timelines. Labor & Delivery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN credentialed by the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days, or instructor.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Graduation from an approved RN nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Leadership in coordination and delivery of patient care on the inpatient unit.
• Apply nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate; delegate and document care.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to the care team.
• Assist in solving variances from patient goals and implement solutions.

Job Description

Weekendhours are defined as 3:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday.The 3rd day will be based on the needs of the department.All qualified hours on the weekend are eligible for a $15/hour weekend premium.

RN- Inpatient Weekend regularly scheduled to work weekend shifts between Friday 3p - Monday 7:30a in a hospital inpatient unit, with standard weekend commitment to work 20 of 24 weekend shifts per 12-week schedule for a minimum of 10 weeks. Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained with 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.
