Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking an RN to join the inpatient weekend team. This role supports weekend coverage and provides leadership in patient care on an inpatient unit.

You will work weekend shifts (Fri 3 PM–Mon 7:30 AM) with a standard commitment to 20 of 24 weekend shifts per 12 weeks, and you may be eligible for a weekend premium and other differential pay.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 2 months (60 days) of hire date or transfer date required.
• Certified BLS provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Or, Certified Instructor.
• Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Education: Requires a graduate of an approved professional (RN) nursing program.

Responsibilities

• RN - Inpatient Weekend works Fri 3 PM to Mon 7:30 AM in a hospital inpatient unit with 20 of 24 weekend shifts per 12 weeks.
• Provides leadership in coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Uses nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care and teaching.
• Communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education

Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Weekend hours are defined as 3:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday. The 3rd day will be based on the needs of the department. All qualified hours on the weekend are eligible for a $15/hour weekend premium.

RN- Inpatient Weekend regularly scheduled to work weekend shifts between Friday 3p - Monday 7:30a in a hospital inpatient unit, with standard weekend commitment to work 20 of 24 weekend shifts per 12-week schedule for a minimum of 10 weeks. Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
