Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC seeks a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery to join our Night shift. This full-time, non-exempt role supports patient-centered care and safety. The RN plans and coordinates care for obstetric patients, directs ancillary staff, and ensures compliance with the SC Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.

Qualifications

Description

The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. This individual has the responsibility to direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient's plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. Performs within the limits of SC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Position Requirements

Education:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License

Experience:

• Entry level position. Consideration given for experience and education.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Current South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
• NRP certification preferred.
