Job summary

Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during nights. You will assess, plan, and coordinate care for a group of patients, working with a multidisciplinary team in a busy ED. Requirements include SC nursing license, BLS, ACLS; PALS/CEN/TNCC/ENPC preferred.

Qualifications

• South Carolina Nursing License is required or ability to obtain and maintain.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required; new grads must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS, CEN, TNCC, ENPC preferred.
• Previous experience in emergency nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Description

The registered nurse at BMH supports the philosophy of nursing by planning and coordinating care for a group of patients within his/her area. This individual has the responsibility to direct ancillary personnel for implementation of the patient's plan of care and has satisfactorily mastered the basic skills in the assigned area. The scope of nursing practice is focused on an assigned group of patients and encompasses charge responsibilities as assigned. Performs within the limits of SC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, hospital policies and procedures, and Nursing Standards of Practice.

Position Requirements

Education

• Ability to obtain and maintain a South Carolina Nursing License

Experience

• Previous experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Current South Carolina RN license.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (must be issued by the American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification required. New grads must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• PALS, CEN, TNCC, and ENPC preferred.
