Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
• ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current
• Basic Fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred
• STABLE preferred

Pay Transparency

Olympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $43.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
