Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join The Birthplace at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The Birthplace emphasizes a doula-supported, family-centered approach to labor, delivery, and postpartum care within a community hospital.

The RN will work nights, providing individualized obstetric nursing care, assessments, and education to patients and families in a supportive team environment. This is a full-time, 36-hour week role in Greenfield, MA.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Massachusetts RN licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to obstetric patients and families, using assessments and interventions.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, recognizing changes needing timely intervention.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and families.
• Provide patient and family education about treatments, procedures, and discharge planning.

Nurses work alongside a close-knit team to provide high-quality maternity care in a supportive community hospital setting.

As a Birthplace RN, You Will:

• Provide individualized nursing care to obstetric patients and families, using comprehensive assessments and evidence-based nursing interventions.
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, recognizing changes that require timely intervention.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provide patient and family education , including information about treatments, procedures, and discharge planning.
