Job summary

Baystate Health's Wesson Women's and Infants Labor & Delivery unit in Springfield seeks compassionate per diem night nurses to support families during one of life’s most meaningful moments.

The unit handles about 4,200 births annually, features a level III NICU, 38 patient rooms, three ORs and a newborn nursery. Per diem nights are 7 PM–7 AM, with 4 shifts every 6 weeks and weekend/holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• Board of Registration in Nursing Examination passed and licensed in Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Wesson Women's and Infants is a labor and delivery unit.

Our unit contains 38 patient rooms, three operation rooms and a PACU, three nurses station's, a newborn nursery, and our Welcome Center.

We perform approximately 4,200 births annually, and we are the only perinatal high risk antepartum unit between Albany NY and Hartford CT

We have a level III NICU on site to care for our littlest patients

SCHEDULE

Per Diem Nights 7 PM- 7AM

4 Shifts per 6 weeks

2 Weekend Shift per 6 weeks

1 Major Holiday and 1 Minor Holiday

Location: Baystate Medical Center Springfield

QUALIFICATIONS

Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.

Education: AND required; BSN preferred.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
