Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery

Job Type: L&D RN Days 7a-7p

Must have two plus years of experience to move forward in the application process.

Department/Unit Summary

The Labor and Delivery Unit offers obstetrics and gynecology care, as well as pediatrics, breast health, and educational classes for new and expecting mothers. The L&D unit features two HOPE Suite rooms geared toward natural births and include a laboring tub, Bluetooth monitoring system, birthing balls, and birthing swing.

Qualifications And Requirements

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:

• Must have Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• Must have BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Two to three years' nursing experience required.

What You Will Do

The L&D RN, under the general supervision of the Director and according to established policies and procedures, coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, acts as a patient/family advocate, and works with other nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Work is of a very confidential nature. Performs other duties of the department as required.
