Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery unit, you will coordinate and provide patient care, conduct assessments, develop care plans, provide education, and facilitate discharge planning.

• Complete admission interviews and document assessments.
• Identify and report changes in patient condition.
• Assess educational needs and provide instructions.
• Offer psychological and social support.
• Administer medications and document accurately.
• Maintain communication with physicians and team members.
• Evaluate and modify care plans as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN); BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license or Compact license (must obtain Texas license within 90 days if Compact).
• BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS and NRP certifications required per policy.
• RNC-OB certification preferred.
