Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville (Pavilion) seeks nurses to provide comprehensive patient care in ED settings, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will advocate for patients and coordinate with ancillary services to support treatment across medical and surgical conditions.

ACLS is required within 6 months for Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs; PALS within 1 year for Free Standing EDs and within 6 months for WCH ED.

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs.
• PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.

Responsibilities

• Provides for patient needs as recognized through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Education of patients/significant others to their disease process and plan of care.
• Acts as patient advocate and coordinates care with ancillary services.
