• Assist with labor management, delivery procedures, and postpartum care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to health care providers.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Utilize EMRto record patients’ medical information and vital signs
• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed
• Assist with labor management, delivery procedures, and postpartum stabilization
• Monitor patient responses and communicate changes in condition to healthcare providers
• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and familiesMaintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in L&D
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered CT RN License or Compact RN License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Tuberculosis (TB) Test
• Flu Vaccine (during Flu season)
• Covid-19 Vaccine (religious/medical exemptions accepted)
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
