Job Summary

The JNC Imaging nurse is involved with the assessment, planning, and care of patients who undergo diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The nurse works closely with the assigned physician and technologists to provide direct care to patients, before, during, and after radiology/procedural pain procedures. The nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and is responsible for administering medications and providing post-procedure education. Wearing lead protective gear and a radiation dosimeter is required in some procedural areas.
