Job summary

Holy Cross Health is seeking a part-time Interventional Procedure Nurse to join the Medical Imaging/Radiology team in Silver Spring. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based patient care within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment, following the nursing process and educating patients and families.

Requirements include ADN or BSN preference, Maryland RN licensure or Compact State, and BLS certification with 1 year of IR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; ADN required, BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Maryland or Compact State.
• BLS (AHA) certification; Life Support training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage care of routine patients, including education and continuum of care planning.
• Communicate patient/family information to health care team.
• Oversee patient care for individuals visiting the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Ensure high-risk patients receive continuous attention from qualified staff.
• Document patient care and assessment data, vital signs, treatments, and education.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care instructions.

Position Purpose

The Interventional Procedure Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Medical Imaging/Radiology Department to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. What You Will Do

• Employment Type/Shift: Rotating/PRN
• Using Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance, and applies nursing process, to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
• Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team.
• Oversee patient care for individuals visiting the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Ensure that critical or high-risk patients receive continuous attention from qualified nursing or technical staff.
• Accurately document patient care and assessment data, including vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, and administration and effectiveness of medication and IV therapy, on the appropriate nursing records.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• BLS certification AHA (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements preferred.
• Minimum 1years of RN experience in IR.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $39.04 - $58.56

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
