Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL seeks a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, manage patient flow, and contribute to individualized care plans across units.

Starting pay is $37.50/hour with opportunities for salary increases through the Clinical Ladder Program; a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and BLS certification required.
• 1+ year experience in nursing; interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and follow policies.

Job Description

• Registered Nurses starting pay is 37.50/hr
• Up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.
• Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria.
• Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Utilizes time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.
• Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice.
• Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching.
• Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs.
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.

• Experience with electronic medical records (preferred)

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ experience preferred nursing skills and knowledge base specific to interventional radiology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
