Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking an experienced RN to provide high-quality patient care in the Interventional Radiology setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs and implement care plans, including IVs, wound care, and medication administration.

The role requires an RN license and a nursing degree, with BSN preferred. Excellent communication, teaching, and patient advocacy are essential, and a commitment to compassionate care in a faith-based setting is valued.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure and nursing degree.
• Interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and cost-effective resource use.
• Manage patient flow aligning nursing skills with unit needs.
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights.
• Educate patients and families and evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• Deliver respectful, culturally sensitive, relationship-based care.
• Delegate tasks per State Board and hospital policy.

Job Description

• Utilizes time, personnel, equipment, and supplies effectively to provide high-quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs.

• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching.
• Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs.
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ experience preferred nursing skills and knowledge base specific to interventional radiology [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
