Job summary

Novant Health's Intermediate Care Unit (ICCU) in Wilmington, NC is hiring an RN to provide patient-centered care to a diverse, high-acuity population on 12-hour night shifts. You will monitor patients, escalate changes, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate complex care.

Qualified candidates will have a BSN preferred, active RN licensure in the state, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; active RN license required.
• 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred; ICU/step-down experience is a plus.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina (or eligible for licensure).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care for a high-acuity patient population in ICCU.
• Closely monitor patients and recognize changes in condition, escalating care when needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate complex care.

Location Details

• Location: Novant - New Hanover Reginal Medical Center
• Schedule: Full-Time, 72 hours / 2 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7p–7a)

What We're Looking For

• Education:4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience:One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
