Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist in Midlothian, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to render professional nursing care, using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation. The RN supports the mission and values of Methodist Health System while providing direct and indirect patient care.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas licensure or eligibility, BLS certification, and at least six months of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: Six months RN experience.

• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/ significant other educational process.
• Communicates with team, co-workers, patients and families and evaluates understanding of information.

• Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth.
• Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care during the episode of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
