Job summary

Methodist Health System's Midlothian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality, technical nursing care on a PRN basis. The role involves 36 hours per week with rotating weekend shifts, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

You will maintain professional standards, support the hospital's mission, ensure safe medication and IV administration, and communicate clearly with patients, families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current Texas nursing license or eligibility to practice.
• Six months RN experience.

• Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of patient and family education.
• Communicates with the team, patients and family; evaluates understanding.

Your Job:

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).

Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
• Work experience: Six months RN experience

Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.

Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.

Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.

Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
